Slot Machine pays a whopping $25,000 instead of just $12

According to the state regulators of Pittsburgh a gambler managed to win a $24,000 jackpot while playing at a Pittsburgh casino’s slot machine. The machine was supposed to just deliver $12 but instead made the gambler rich.

According to the Gaming Control Board the false jackpot actually took place in May of 2010. This happened in one of the five instances which involved Rivers Casino machines which were not properly certified or tested.

The board now has levied a fine against the casino. But it has gotten a consent agreement from the establishment since some members on the board felt that a stronger message had to be sent.

According to Casino officials the player was allowed to take home the money and that they also paid all its taxes. Jack Horner the spokesman for the casino says that such matters are taken very seriously and so it has retrained its technicians.
